Paula is starting to make American Idol unwatchable. I know Simon says you have to watch because you never know what nonsense is going to come out of Paula Abdul’s mouth but that’s exactly the problem. Everything that comes out of her mouth is nonsense. You can see the contestants just staring dumbfounded at her–they’re just dying to hear what Simon has to say. His judgments are the only worthy, accurate and valuable comments on the show.

And a word about the contestants…besides the rocker and the Australia does anyone else have one ounce of sex appeal!? That Australian is HOT!!

Lipstick Jungle

Has anyone watched Lipstick Jungle? I have to admit I haven’t seen the show, but the promotional material featuring Brooke Shields is enough to keep me away. She looks horrible and no amount of makeup can hide it. Having those kids (and depression) seems to have really done a job on her skin. And the makeup artist who is trying to hide her wrinkles is only making matters worse.

Academy Awards Red Carpet

5 days and counting!! Who cares about the awards — show me the fashions! I am eager to see who will be there and what they will be wearing. I hear Randolph Duke will be making a big comeback at the Oscars. He may be dressing quite a few actresses. The Oscars is where the big boys come to play. Armani, YSL, Dior and Balenciaga usually snag the cream of the crop — Reese Witherspoon, Charlize Theron, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Hilary Swank etc. But Marchesa has certainly been making great inroads.

We’ll talk about specific dresses from last year in just a few minutes.

Fashionable! Stylish! Chic! Who doesn’t want to be described by one or all of these words but it doesn’t happen naturally. Celebrities have stylists who are paid thousands of dollars to make sure those A-listers always step out in style. StyleSiren will try to cover all your favorite fashion icons and then translate that style to the everday woman.

Hey I have 4 kids, so I know how tough it can be to look good going to the grocery store or even to work! But that doesn’t stop me from trying. Don’t give up ladies!!!! We will look good even if we’re just watching the Academy Awards Red Carpet show and not attending the 2008 Oscars.
